This is a piece in celebration & acknowledgment of the Dog & its significance to humans since the end of the last glacial period..

Roughly 15 to 40,000 years ago there has been multiple sporadic domestication events, even with other dog-like species where we have cooperated with, bred, valued and lived with these canid types for survival & friendship.
This is 10s of thousands of years before the creation of the grain, the domestication of horses, cows, goats, cats & widespread agricultural systems.

Dogs have appeared in ancient art, mythology and religious symbolism across the globe in multiple civilisations representing loyalty, protection, guidance and the afterlife..

Since the end of the last ice age they have slept at the end of our beds, protected us since the era of the Smilodon, eaten our toast crusts since the invention of bread and annoyed us with incessant barking since when it actually warned away bears..
